EKA Level 1 – School Assessment

Understanding the Plan, College and Career Readiness and Closing the Achievement Gaps

The best way to think of this is like an initial visit with a doctor. So essentially, we take a “whole patient approach” to your school’s current performance and learning plan, looking to understand where you are, where you want to go and what we can do to help get you there quickly.
We start to develop an Action Plan for your school based on what we learn and discuss the school’s needs… understanding your school’s culture and its uniqueness and commitment.

Curriculum Audits to Support Implementation and Planning

Our team of administrative coaches will assist district and school level administrators in an intense and independent scrutiny of policies, planning, organizational relationships, administrative functioning, curriculum design and delivery, equity, feedback use, budgeting, facilities, and many other factors that contribute to the optimization of the school system.

The product will be a comprehensive, detailed, and highly useful report. The detailed report will analyze the district’s programs and policies, diagnoses strengths and weaknesses, and will recommend concrete courses of action to improve and advance quality in the educational organization.

The following questions will drive the overall analysis of the curriculum audit:

  • Does the school system have a properly managed instructional program (curriculum) that is planned, executed, and assessed in accordance with appropriate standards?
  • How does the school system conform to the standards of quality in an instructional organization which includes the following:
  1. Adequacy, specificity, and scope of board policies and planning;
  2. Sufficient quality in direction for teaching and learning;
  3. Consistency and equity in schools and program implementation;
  4. Effectiveness of program and process monitoring and assessment;
  5. Use and allocations of budget and resources for productivity and quality improvement?
  • Are all students achieving success equally and effectively within the school system, and if not, what can be done about it?

Knowledge is Power

EKA Level 2 – Motivational Components

Improve the Students Educational Journey By Starting With A Plan

The Educational and Career Positioning System (ECPS)

Students and Parents, can start mapping out the next years of their lives, and make informed decisions with the ability to develop a career pathway by assessing their skill capabilities and then guiding them through the educational requirements to obtain future employment., based on their own education data.
The Educational and Career Positioning System (ECPS) is a suite of leading web and mobile applications that allow students to own, design, and create their education-to-career choices and pathways. One very helpful factor in this process is gaining a better understanding of your gifts, “Gifts” is a broad term that researchers and counselors often use to learn your values, interests, personality, and what are your workplace preferences. Understanding you and your preferences will allow you to explore the available jobs within your interest group and what the pay looks like in your area. This is a powerful tool to assist students plan their future learn in real time and how their choices about school, college affect the type careers or jobs that are available and the amount of money those jobs or careers pay in their area or across the country… how does college play a role?

Valuable information when planning to pursue a career path and Students will have access and the ability to easily navigate their own transcripts, standardized test scores, personal interests against labor statistics, and career pathways to start planning for the right college and end up in the right career. It will give students the power of informed choices in a graphic manner well before deciding on what college to attend or not to attend. It puts the ‘ownership’ of choices in the hands of the student.

The assessments are designed to help you learn more about yourself, gain a better understanding of how you are unique, gain insights that will help you make decisions about where you may want to go with your education and career path, and search and apply for real jobs all over the country.

Off to College your system goes with you…While in College students will then be able to look over that data and choose exactly what path will work best for them as they prepare for and complete their college education.

, as well down the road when you are preparing to land an internship or, ultimately, employment in your field.

EKA Level 3 – Full ACT/SAT Practice Tests

Baseline all Students…Knowing Where to start is the first Step to The Finish Line

Understanding Where we Stand is Critical to the Planning Process
So what does that look like? We begin by actually Proctoring a full, 3 ½ hour simulated ACT or SAT practice test to the students. We collect the exams, score them, and an Essential Knowledge Assessment Report is created from this data, which identifies student’s strengths and weaknesses. This is an extremely detailed report…drilling down not only to each discipline tested, but to each sub- discipline, and to each sub-segment… for every single student! I’m sure you can just imagine how useful and powerful this information can be as we look to create a Plan of Action. This truly is an epitomic example of “knowledge is power.”
